The GOD'S CHILD Project was founded in Bismarck, ND, USA, in 1991 by Patrick Atkinson to help orphaned and abandoned children Atkinson had removed from the midst of Guatemala's violent 37-year civil war. Originally intended to last for only three years, since 1991 the Project has grown to where it now provides Guatemala, Central America's largest and most comprehensive charitable services.
In international demand, newer GOD'S CHILD Project founded or supported efforts assist needy individuals, families, and entire communities in The United States, El Salvador, and Malawi, Africa.
The secret of the success of The GOD'S CHILD Project is its reliance on an all-loving God, committed staff and volunteer teams, and the desire and ability of our assisted children, mothers groups, and communities to break free from their bitter chains of poverty.
